Qatar's climate largely dictates the ideal time to visit.

The best season

From November to March, mild temperatures (17–25 °C) are perfect for the desert, the beach and outdoor sightseeing. Summer (June–September) is very hot, but everything is air-conditioned.

Major events

Qatar National Day (18 December), the Doha Jazz Festival, Katara exhibitions, camel races and major sporting events fill the cool season.
